Its a different time where most rappers focus on doing there own hooks,and they focus on that more than the rapping alot of times
I cant read that much into it,because there are alot of icons with alot of classic hooks.And they were doing that in a era where they didnt see the hook as their job,and would call guys like Nate in. If they focused more on it I think they could have been as great as Future,and have as many classics.I might even have to argue Jeezy in this,but Ill think about it. Im only counting iconic hooks here,not those servicable hooks that are good for the moment.

You dont even have Codeine crazy in there. If you love all of those you must think all Future hooks are classic. Future has alot of serviceable hooks for what he does,that doesnt make them classic,they just fit him perfectly. Majority of those arent iconic timeless hooks,just good for their time.

You play any song I posted in a mix today and people will be singing along to the hook. You can discredit Nate Dogg shyt like that too but I won't. People have posted about 10 Nate Dog Songs.
Those Nate Dogg hooks largely follow the same formula. There is so much variety from hook to hook in Future's catalogue its crazy.

Well thats easy,Future is still relevant,and alot of those hooks aren't that old. I question whether people would sing along or wonder why you are playing something old as Karate Chop or Move that Dope
?People knowing it doesn't define it as a classic to me when its still so current,especially not in this climate where the game moves at such a slower pace as far as newer,more talented artist getting older artist the fukk outta here. And at a faster pace in the sense that theres so many wack microwave hits,a guy with great hooks like Future's hooks stand out.

I would even argue that as much as Nate is at an disadvantage being he wasn't a rapper,so he didn't have as large a catalogue as Future, Also just being from a era whee 99% of people didn't record that much regardless. I would argue Future is at a big disadvantage being that in this era you do have to record that much because people are just used to it. Future's hooks probably aren't getting the respect he deserves because they are taken for granted,because he doesn't give them to us sparringly like a traditional "hook guy". Which is why its hard to compare him to traditional "hook guys". If Future was just coming out giving us hooks like "Codeine Crazy",Same Damn Time","Thats My Ho 2","Trap nikkas","Aint No Way Around It" sparringly,he would probably be getting high praise. But too many of his unknown hooks are just about as good if not better than the ones that you say are classic that people know. So alot of these hooks don't seem to be on a different level than his most popular hooks,so maybe he is being punished for consistency
