No one can ever know how many times I played my Midnight Marauders CD. I bought it. That counts as 1 in the count of how many copies sold. But then I played that shyt 3899 times. Multiply that by every track on the album.

SOHH streaming is weird. They not counting the number of people who chose to expose themselves to the music (backinnaday it was one album sale), but how many times each single is played.

Michael Jackson has how many "streams" of Thriller? Meaning, how many times has each song been played after the record was purchased. Times every track.

I'm just hating of Future cause I don't get the appeal myself, but the question remains. You could never say how many times an album was PLAYED before streams. The comparison is not 1 to 1

Now obviously a bunch of Drake, Metro, Travis etc. songs and shyt but hopefully he didn't have the same legal advisors as Snoop

Based on the payouts indie labels post on the internet. About $0.004 per stream is always the quoted number, while Apple usually has more and smaller services like tidal even more than that.

But people tend to quote major label artists. That’s like equating Rory and Mals payouts from the JBP with what the JBP makes.
