You can't judge the man's pen game off a first listen or a couple of singles. When you get past the adlibs, accent, and beats you'll understand his story. Once you understand his story, you'll appreciate his pen game which is quite nice in an abstract way.
I see some folk on here saying they want dude to take a break. That's one of my fears about future. When is that well gonna dry up? What's gonna happen to dude and the quality of his music when he finally accomplishes his ambitions and proves his haters wrong? What happens to the quality of his music when future finally confronts himself and puts the drugs down lol.
Some artist have that short prime, but some artist just got it
...Being that Future has been around for almost 10 years...has MANY projects, has made them with a number of different producers, with great and not so great production, using too many different styles to count
I think its safe to rule out that anything but him is responsible for the quality of his music,or that he just has a short window.
And his pen game is basically freestyling,i even question how quickly this album was put together, because just from listening it sounds more freestyled than some of his other shyt.
He could always focus on spending more time on his lyrics if he wanted to....but with that said, ive seen artist try to fix what wasnt broke with horrible results, and they never recover
...But weve also seen artist step it up and produce better results....i think he gives a good enuff mix of songs where he flex lyrically and flow wise...I will say Honest was slept on lyrically, easily the best of all 3 albums on that note.
