Future isn't a pop artist so his singles aren't going straight to hot 100 every time like Drake or Wayne or Taylor Swift

The Coli labels albums that have gone Gold and have sold 100K-300K in the first week a flop.

It doesn't matter whether he's a Pop artist or not. Meek Mill dropped his studio debut months later and did quadruple what Future did in his first week. None of Meek's singles were as big as Future's.

his "roll out" was rushed, from a mainstream perspective

You're copping pleas. People outside of the Internet knew who Future was. People claim they were really out there in the streets, but want to front like he was just an Internet sensation then. If that's the case, he's even more of an Internet sensation now than he was then.

Nothing was rushed. Future pretty much overshadowed whatever buzz YC had from "Racks" by the time "Tony Montana" dropped. There was nearly a full year of hype and buzz going into Pluto.
