So are you referring to the deal that John Slipper DAZNs president admitted DAZN fukked up
"
When we left that (Wilder) meeting, I KNEW WE MESSED UP and that we weren’t going to be successful (Wilder)"
The offer Hearn makes claiming Wilder doesn't deserve a percentage
The offer Hearn makes while Deontay already has fights lined up
The offer Wilder agreed to but then Hearn runs to the WBA and gets them to shut it down??
Which deal
Wilder is on video saying he turned down 120 million, that's all that needs to be said. And there's numerous other offers he received that were to be his highest pay days. This is the reason Wilder isn't a bigger star, because he didn't challenge himself. AJ is so much of a bigger star because he had those career defining monumental moments and made history.
Why can't Wilder be a huge star too? I don't see a reason he can't be, he's an exciting fighter, amazing power, he has a big personality and can sell a fight. Wilder is unlikely to ever be in a completely dull fight because he's a knockout specialist, yet he's commercially not on AJ's level, because while AJ won the world title in his 16th fight Wilder fought Reggie Pena in his, in his 19th fight fought Wlad and unified who Wilder ducked and Wilder in his fought Daniel Cota, when AJ unified again in his 21st against Parker, Wilder in his fought Marlon Hayes, when AJ created history as a 2 time world heavyweight unified champion in his 23rd fight, in Wilder's he fought Owen Beck.
Now these are all facts, when you look at the facts anybody objective can see 2 completely different career paths, 1 fighter cherry picked, unsurprisingly the 1 who rejected all the offers for the fight, the other created history, his fight vs Wlad is 1 of the greatest and most memorable heavyweight fights, he became unified champion, had those historic moments and made history as a 2 time heavyweight unified champion becoming only the 4th fighter in heavyweight history to win back their belts in an immediate rematch when many advised him not to take it. Wilder and team choose the cherrypicking, padding and ducking approach. AJ choose to take the risks and challenge himself, that's the reason AJ is so much of a bigger star, I didn't think Wilder's numbers were terrible for a fight not that many wanted to see, but it was still less than 275 thousand buys, AJ's reportedly did 1.6 million in the U.K and around 1.9 million on DAZN. It's 2 different levels, 1 earned their status, the other ducked and that's why Wilder is so insecure and jealous. If he hadn't avoided all these fighters he could be in a much better position and already have the generational wealth he says he wants (which he should want) that AJ already has.
If Wilder believed his own hype he could have challenged himself, knocked all the others out and already been undisputed and just built on his legacy and money. But he refused that AJ fight at all costs, along with many other credible fighters he refused to fight.
