Alonzo Bodden is hilarious.
I agree. Though I like him personally (meaning, I think he's a decent guy), he's not that funny. He channels Eddie Murphy (who's stand up was hilarious) a lot. I half-expect him to break into his laugh, at times. I love stand up but Black stand up has been :yuck: for a while. Donald Glover is cool but I'd like to see a revival of those old shows to hear a fresh perspective.
Other than John Ritter and a couple of exceptions, I hate physical/obnoxious comedy and scumbag comedy (I slept with X and didn't even bathe before meeting up with Y). Old Paula Poundstone, D. Chappelle, and Carlin cracks me up.
No wonder you don't like most Black comedy.
There's no reasonable way somebody can shyt on Kevin Hart's talent and in the same breath say anything positive about Donald Glover.
I was mega late on it, but I finally watched Louis CK's "Chewed Up" a couple weeks ago.
Laughed my ass off.
just finished watching Anthony Jeselnik - Caligula. FUNNIEST STAND UP OF THE YEAR!
JOKES FOR DAYS!
YA'LL SLEEPING BREHS!
Earthquake deserves a mention in here. He may be the funniest motherfukker on the planet right now, actually, but he just doesn't have that much material.
