I'm just going to tell you right now that this showcase is crazy. I really don't have much to say. This showcase features the 1-0 @J_Nathan n and the 3 and 0 @FunkDoc1112

I probably could have waited a week to try and book this one. But like the UFC There's no ducking anyone and typically every showcase you all want to see I will try my utmost to make. Because at the end of it all. There's true networking that can be done right here if we handle everything right.

I started booking this a few hours ago thinking that I would hear something back in a day maybe 2 on accepting the showcase. However these 2 surprised me and sent something straight away without accepting or negotiating anything. That's when I knew that this was going to be something topflight. I can assure you these are 2 world class beats from 2 great producers. Without any further delay lets get to the music.

@FunkDoc1112

@J_Nathan

@FunkDoc1112 knocked it out the park. Love the simplicity. I was immediately ready to vote thinking @J_Nathan wouldn't stand a chance but hold up:whoo:. That beat is too smooth and has a west coast vibe which is a perfect counter to what Doc went with.

Both beats are great. I can't declare a winner so this is a draw for me:manny:

Damn, this is hard.
Both major quality beats.

Nathan had the chill Westcoast bassline which is sick.
Although I like funkdoc vibe more.
And that step up front vocal is classic of course.
I think Nathan had the better mix to but I was loungin more
to funks vibe so i gave it to him. It reminded me of a Pete Rock beat with InI.

I've decided who i'm voting for on this one. I had to pull out a score card

Instrumental quality from both is A+

@FunkDoc1112 Uses the sample well and the filter sections are something I've come to expect from his sound. The mix is well done. It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that a mix has to be overly loud in volume and you do a great job of having quality levels. I love the way the Snare punches through as well. Great job

@J_Nathan The beat is sensational bro, The mix is definitely in your face but that High end on the hats maybe a tad too much, with the Crash cymbal being a little to hot (volume wise as well.

For that Reason My vote is going to @FunkDoc1112

When you have 2 great producers such as these Picky is the only way to derive at a fair vote.

I look forward to future showcases from both of you

Good battle

I felt like both were a lil repetitive, but JNathan beat had the better melody and vibe so you don't notice it as much. Like you can just let it ride in the background. Funk's beat is one of those joints where you need to hear someone spitting on it to fully appreciate it.

voted JNathan.
