Kobe got that being an a$$hole shyt from Jordan. I bet Kobe probably doesn't have 1 true friend that he grew up with. When it's time to go into the hall of fame who is gonna say he was a good teammate? I remember on the NBA TV show where Kenny Smith was saying how honorable Hakeem was and that if you called him while you were stuck on the freeway he'd come and get you. Nobody can say that about Kobe, L.A loves dude and he don't give shyt back but buys his broad 4 million dollar rings and shyt.

I dont buy this. If you're on a team you dont alienate yourself from your teammates. Not to turn this into a Kobe vs. LeBron thread, but I noticed even in Bron's Cleveland days some of the guys he was closest to were the biggest scrubs on the team, but he was cordial with everyone and that's why you wont hear ex teammates come out and say this kind of thing about a LeBron, a Wade or a Durant. C'mon, sitting at your own table when the team goes out to dinner, telling another man he can't speak to you as if you're not human too. I'd never take anything away from Kobe as a basketball player but that's an ugly personality right there.

Leadership is responsibility.
There comes a point when one must make a decision. Are YOU willing to do what it takes to push the right buttons to elevate those around you? If the answer is YES, are you willing to push the right buttons even if it means being perceived as the villain? Here's where the true responsibility of being a leader lies. Sometimes you must prioritize the success of the team ahead of how your own image is perceived. The ability to elevate those around you is more than simply sharing the ball or making teammates feel a certain level of comfort. It's pushing them to find their inner beast, even if they end up resenting you for it at the time.

I'd rather be perceived as a winner than a good teammate. I wish they both went hand in hand all the time but that's just not reality. I have nothing in common with lazy people who blame others for their lack of success. Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses.

This is my way. It might not be right for YOU but all I can do is share my thoughts. It’s on YOU to figure out which leadership style suits you best.

It wasn't personal stuff though. Kobe said don't talk to me because you don't have the accolades in basketball. Even if Kobe felt that way he shouldn't have come out & said the stuff to Smush or any teammate.
