He's not Haitian. Wyclef told the story of how Usher became associated with Haiti. Said they were all some where performing in Miami..young Usher asked other performers what he should say to amp up the crowd. I think Clef told him to go out out there and shout "Sak Pase' " because of the heavy Haitian presence in the crowd. That's it.
Clef said this on his most recent appearance on combat jack.......episode was terrible but I did pick that up.
Dudes who travel outside the country....will note that the clean shaven look is common among Black men elsewhere. It's very rare here, so dude who shaves off his facial hair does look "foreign" when you first see them.
Obama and Denzel are only guys I can think of who pull off the clean shaven look without looking funny.
