I really want to hate the over push of Charlotte, but seeing as she indeed is one of the best female workers I've ever seen in WWE
She's basically Edge pre-retirement. Good/solid promo. GREAT look (tall, athletic, blue eyes/white privilege) and family lineage. Multiple time world champion for sure, but their number of reigns are egregious all things considered. Charlotte might be a better's women's wrestler than Edge was as a men's wrestler though, but you could count on one hand the amount of folk that has had moments reserved for them to the level they have been for Charlotte.
Main difference is that with Edge, the way his character went about business it ALMOST makes sense he was an 11 or 12-time world champion or whatever he was. He wasn't pushed as like this dominant grappler or whatever. He just had a knack for capitalizing on openings in a very slimy fashion. He'd worm his way in and steal the title. He closely aligned himself with the decision-maker during his Smackdown reign of terror.
With Charlotte, not only is she finding her way involved with EVERYTHING, the way she is portrayed is that it is CLEARLY apparent that the only person who could beat Charlotte straight up is Becky Lynch on her BEST day or MAYBE Io Shirai (at the first sign of deep trouble, Charlotte gets herself DQ'd. Happened with Ronda too). With how deep and talented the women's division is across all the brands, there is NO logical reason for there to be a 12-time champion or for a woman to hold the belt for a year.
