I know the gov will ask for football numbers but I just don't buy it. This dude spread a lot of money around and it would not surprise me if he plead out, sentenced to like 10 years at club fed with work release and all that shyt.
People probably thought the same thing about Madoff until he got 150 years. I don't think anyone's getting off light after they cross a billy in fraud. Elizabeth Holmes got 11 years and she was 1) Way better connected politically from Kissinger to Mattis to Republican Senators 2) Pregnant 3) Committed fraud to a lesser level.
SBF donated money but AFAIK didn't actually know people, so his political impact will be/was wiped out since most campaigns will be forced/'encouraged' to give the money back. I don't think there's any community caping for him.. from the jewish, to the political, to the crypto world. I think there could've been a pessimistic view that since he donated to Dems, they would have his back... I don't believe that would've happened, but when it came out he was also donating to Republicans on the low, that pretty much puts a nail in any partisan treatment imo
