he's so "intelligent" he subscribes to religion () and decided to appear on a racist's television show to participate in the spurious attacks by the right-wing on a president they refuse to respect for the simple fact that he's black.

Well..yeah, if by "black friend" you're referring to someone who is pretty notable, recognizable and respected on black issues with whom he can exchange ideas with, and agree, or disagree with based on his observations and perhaps grab a drink with right after...

I respect Dr Carson one hunnid, but I don't respect him siding with those clowns at Faux news.

He is FAR from a c00n, but allowing Faux news to use him disappoints me.

I don't think he's allowing himself to be used by Fox. Hannity wants to do away with most if not all public services for the poor completely, and let people decide for themselves if they want to buy health insurance or not. Dr. Ben Carson doesn't want to end health care for the poor, he just wants a different system than Obamacare (forcing people to buy private insurance). Dr. Carson wants a system where people are in charge of their health care through a savings account, and to have no middle men between them and their doctors. Hannity doesn't want that either because Dr. Carson's health savings accounts would be funded in part by the tax payer. So, given all that, I don't think Ben Carson is allowing himself to be used by the right against Obama. If anything, Dr. Carson is probably disgusted with the right for their lack of care for the less fortunate (he quotes Jesus a lot, in regards to feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, healing the sick, etc). I think the republican/tea party idea that every person should fend for themselves without any assistance is appalling to Ben Carson.

He's intelligent because he's the fukking director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, a talented surgeon (also responsible for innovating some procedures IIRC).　He's clearly a leader in his field and a recipient of multiple awards, not just in the medical field but public recognition outside of it.

are you still in high school? i'm clearly arguing that his knowledge notwithstanding, the man has demonstrated that he certainly isn't in possession of impressive intelligence. he's a black man who decided to become a pawn for racists intent on derailing the presidency of our first black president. as far as I AM CONCERNED, that disqualifies him from being recognized as a great intellect. knowledge is not the same as intelligence. he endured the rigors of studying his field of medicine, applied the knowledge he obtained, and established a lucrative career. that doesn't mean he should be exempt from condemnation for his behavior of late. his actions are inexcusable, insulting, and reflective of a simple mind.
