holy shyt believe it or not, my Ace read this book about 2 months ago and she was saying how it would make an excellent movie....

but we agreed that America isn't ready for that type of full scale bad guy fukkery.

They'd just do it like they did "Wanted".

:ahh:
I remember reading a few month's back that Mark Millar said the chances of a Nemesis movie being greenlit was based on Kingsman being financially successful and since that movie made over $100 million I guess we will be seeing a Nemesis flick within the next few years.

Hollywood butchered Millar's "Wanted" which would have been a great supervillain movie. If they make Nemesis movie I hope they try to stay a bit more true to the comics.

A Magneto movie would be dope..they just need to let him get some more kills than what we've seen in the movies.

And Anton was balanced out by protagonists rather than it being a movie just about him. You could argue he was the shark in jaws where everything happened around him. He didn't have an arc at all, he was the main antagonist who was going to devour everything around him and the protagonists were there to stop him. I wouldn't want to see the movie about how Anton became Anton, then that takes away the mystique. It's like when zombie tried to give Michael Myers a backstory as a kid other than the simple backstory..the shyt didn't work. Sometimes I don't want to know why the boogey man is the boogey man.

Doom could work but you still need someone in the movie for him to bounce off of. Normally its good vs evil but if you're going with evil as the main protagonist, then your antagonist has to be worse than them

Dope analogy.

I think it could work with the right villian if they're interesting enough.

American Psycho starred a character with no antagonist but himself.

The last Star Wars movie showed how Anakin become Darth Vader.

I don't think people would feel guilty having some sympathy for the devil.

And that's why Anakin worked (well, kinda :russ:) because he had an arc..he went from jedi to sith lord and in the right hands it could've been dope but just on its face, it's a good idea but even then, you're watching a journey; let's say we do a Carnage movie..there's no arc there at all, there's no journey at all. He's a psycho from page one and continues to be a psycho which is one reason why maximum carnage is a terrible arc .

American Psycho would be a good template and way to go so I'll give you that one definitely but it's also a horror movie and you can do more with that especially in our horror movies where the villains have become the stars but thats mostly because the people they're killing are terrible freaking human beings or characters and we root for them to die :deadrose:
