What happened was they put it in the checkout area of a Toys 'r Us, so if you had saved up enough allowance to go through and get yourself something fun, you would be on a high and see that gum and think, "I have another dollar left, why not?"

That's how Fruit Stripe established itself enough to last this long, I'm sure of it.
