Yep. Cartoons peaked in the 90s. Strangely I think the peak of music was late 60s, 70s - at least rnb.

But cartoons reached a peak in the 90s


Adults was watching cartoons like crazy in the 90s. My dad and my friends parents were legit interested in our cartoons back then. Used to trip me out to walk in and our parents would be watching our cartoons when we weren't around.

My friends and I used to get a kick out of that

Cartoons are still huge. A lot of these cartoons in the past couple years have big adult followings. You see it a lot on YouTube with 20-somethings reviewing animated shows as a hobby or for a living.

But one thing I've noticed about a lot of today's cartoons is they're not really about everyday things anymore. Just about people going through life. There has to be some kind of magic or fantasy involved with every single one of them. The only cartoon that's not doing that right now is The Loud House, but I could be wrong.

Society is going backwards.

Because standards get too loose and tradition is looked as wrong and overbearing
Each successive generation gets more coddled with more freedoms and liberties and basically allow people in power to dictate trends and they conform to those trends under the guise it really appeals to them when in reality they're too afraid to connect as individuals rather than a hive mind
