I'm going to give Schlenk the benefit of the doubt although I prefer Bagley/Porter Jr./or Ayton. He was in GS when they got rolling and he's done well drafting Collins and Dorsey. If he goes with Doncic, I'll just assume dude is really the truth although I haven't seen him play much.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Schlenk & Co is gonna do his due diligence on all of the lottery picks between now and the draft. He was at Duke & UNC last wk up on Tobacco Rd so don't think he's made his mind up on a prospect yet

At the end of the day I always had a hard time believing that Bud was cool with losing 55-60 games a season while the FO tries to "figure it out" and get into the tank wars to draft a star. I think Bud is much more inclined to want to win 30 games thank Schlenk is at this point and I would totally understand if the two men still don't trust each other. After all, Schlenk did take Bud's job and he is now his boss & although Bud isn't in any danger of losing his job, losing a bunch of games is never good no matter what the intentions & future plans are...I think you could see Bud Ball vs The Schlenk's plan play out down the stretch, Bud wanting as many wins as possible and Schlenk wanting us to lose out

Tbh i have seen bud bend more than I expected. For example, he sat bazemore down the stretch in favor of Dorsey during the magic game this week. 2 pg lineups in the 4th is borderline conceding the game imo. The last 3 games he's had dedmon taking step back 3s in the last minute, and even that backfired yesterday
Also, coach even said he hopes we get the number 1 pick so I think he is fully aware. Hopefully schlenk comes back from spain and tells bud to just outright tank and not worry whether its obvious.
I think the issue is partly all the scrubs have gotten better. Bazemore and even Delaney has been balling

If it was another host I would think they were being clever but considering it was Hugh I guarantee he legit didn't realize that that question had already been asked
