I never saw Lost, but I agree there's too much going on and no answers or even a sense of hope.

Elgin is a damn fool...what Black breh is going to trust a demon lady in a kimono??

I knew Boyd wouldn't cross that line simply because Black characters are always portrayed as too moral to make the hard decisions.

White characters have no problem doing unethical ish if the end justifies the means.

The white lady copy is irritating as fk and is always challenging Boyd on some real

First 2 seasons were cool, but season 3 came off the rails especially w the Fatima storyline

That said, I'll give it one more season...but they gotta tighten up the writing.

They coulda found Fatima twice as fast by just hiding and following Elgin instead of confronting him. It's crazy that I lost all sympathy for him because of how dumb he acted, though. I thought he was one of the most interesting characters right up until the writers decided he'd be just another dummy like the rest of the town...not counting Jade, I guess.

Sarah walking around the town after Boyd told her stay in the church was hilarious.

It’s wild to me that we’re deep into the season and there’s been like…zero resolutions or even continuations of things from the end of S1. Lots of character driven scenes, which are fine but it seems like there’s a deliberate attempt to slow walk this. Even to the point after 5 eps, characters are still telling each other about major shyt that happened last season (the voice on the call, for instance).

Going through this thread and seeing your slow realization they played us and this is lost part 2 is

I def think you should check out Lost. It's on Netflix right now, I think. The first ep is def gonna have you having From flashbacks. The actor who plays Boyd is in it too and has a pretty noteworthy role.



By season 3 of From it really felt like a lot of the characterization fizzled out. Looking back at S1...Jim was an engineer/man of action, Jade was a weird tech bro who seemed like he could eventually figure things out, Boyd was the moral center of the town and the reliable rock to lean on, Donna was the no nonsense second in command, the Catholic priest/father was the angel on Boyd's shoulder, etc. Then you had mysterious figures like Victor and Sara. But all of this kinda degraded by S3, often for no real reason. I get that people lose hope but it felt less like Jim lost hope and more like the writers simply forgot about him or lost interest until...well...you know. Same with Donna.

In fact, you don’t even need to do that. Just have people situated in multiple parts of the town and observe where he goes or at least the area. I’m pretty sure they knew of that place

Then you had the scene where jim was in colony house and the doll moved and scared him. Then it's like how the hell the doll get from colony house to the monster den?

Then we get the reveal. How the fukk does this stupid b*stard not remember dude arguing with a whole ass kid about this

This just reminded me out of all the dumb stupid shyt about this show one of the most annoying is the cheap jump scares they constantly do with the doll screaming out randomly.
