Hope you guys see that us Mavs/Luka fans weren’t being delusional all these years.
Shai is not on his level. Every time they match up, Luka is the best player on the floor, and it’s not close.
Guys like SGA and Jokic might be in better shape and play more games. Guy like Giannis might be more athletic and two-way. They might put up better regular season stats and resumes to win awards.
The game and rules are skewed towards offensive players. Luka is the best player on the floor every game when it counts.

The one thing I'll say about Luka is that, except for the Celtics series, he's clearly looked like the best player in every single playoff series that he's been in
He was the best player in the Finals as well, he just got worn down. He was already limping on one good leg going into the series. Then he got hounded by Jrue, Jaylen, and White.
He still got his and carried us as much as he could. Our shooters all turned into DLo when he kicked it out and Kyrie had maybe his worst playoff series ever.
Boston with Luka instead of Tatum has 2-3 rings by now.

Imma be honest say thats not what I felt during that OKC series.
Luka's had the better career and his dismantling of the Twolves sorta puts him to another level.
However, I felt like SGA was better during that series. His efficiency was insane for a SG. Foul at the end fukked them.
I'd take Luka if they met up again though.
That OKC series was his worst series of his career, but it’s mostly because the refs let Lu Dort play AFC North Week 17 football against him. He got banged up with the fukkery from Dort that series that lingered for the rest of his playoff run.
Luka adjusted and got Dort into foul trouble early the last two games of the series and yes, PJ showed out and hit huge shots for us that series.
