Is Austin Reaves one of the top #3’s in the NBA?


I’m trying to think of some people who are better than him as a #3

Ever since DLO has left, Reaves has legit played like an All Star. Teams have had to play a legit defender on him and he’s still cooking.

I mean now you got your 2 best defenders on Bron/Luka then you’re forced to put a mid defender on Austin!?

Or even worse they can just matchup hunt and let ANY of the 3 cook when he’s hitting chit like this

Reaves is an all star caliber player at this point. Would average 25 on a shytty team.

Well, everybody's gonna have cap space in 2026 so someone is offering Reaves a bag. If they aren't comfortable paying that, the trade conversation needs to be had because Reaves has tremendous value on his current deal.

The future is bright If Luka holds. For this season I still feel the same way as I did before. Team is capable of beating other mid teams but I don’t trust em against contenders. I also still don’t believe Bron can be your 2nd best player at this stage come playoffs. I will say tho having an impactful player such as Luka does mean we shouldn’t need Bron to be as impactful

It’s only so much you can dominate as a Wing vs a big(AD) where you have to be fed the ball

Derrick White is a decent comp as far as value and he got 4/$126 million in 2024.

Reaves is getting his extension two years and two cap raises later. I'd guess it starts at 4/$140 million for him which is 35 per.

Immanuel Quickley is getting 32.5 and Reaves is definitely better than him.

The main point is multiple teams are gonna have cap space in 2026 and someone is gonna make him a big offer. Think how Houston overpaid for FVV. Someone is going to do that with Reaves.
