Wellllll...... Should have taken Buddy Hield when his value was at the lowest point. Would have been an excellent addition.
Westbrook never made any sense on the Lakers. He's a ball dominant guard. Letting your franchise players act like GM's doesn't work well.

I think Bron figured Russ would help keep him and AD fresh in the regular season.
And also him and Dwade weren't ideal fits, but figured it out.
The problem is he vastly underrated just how good Wade was at finishing at the rim and how Wade could move without the ball sometimes. It wasnt the missed the jumpers that killed Russ time here it was all the missed layups & turnovers. Cant have that when the team itself doesn't shoot well enough (not Russ fault there).
Buddy Hield wouldn't have moved the needle but obviously better cause it wouldnt have gutted the roster.
I always got the logic, but yea its a move the franchise is still trying to recover from.
The person who would have really helped the Lakers would have been Myles Turner
Having a BIG front court of him, AD, and Bron fixes some issues they have defensively and helps alot with rebounding
Hield was never gonna be a long term player with the Lakers if he got traded here

If you wanna get into a back and forth about MJ/Kobe/etc then sure you’ll get engagement

Having Turner/Dennis would fix many of the Lakers' issues...Adding a veteran Wing/3 pt shooter would've been the cherry on top.
