Nah, that's going too far. They beat Phoenix, San Antonio 2x and Minnesota. The team was playing well until the Orlando meltdown.

The shyt was a mirage. I never bought the hype. It was dependant on AD being dominant on both ends while consistently hitting 3s.
All I'm saying is they've beaten decent teams and the bad ones they're supposed to. The bottom has fallen out and JJ all but admitted something is wrong in the locker room. Whether it's him, LeBron/Bronny or something else, something went haywire recently.

How you get quality players with Bron and AD eating up all that cap space?
When greats get older, they’ll sometimes take less money in order to play with quality teammates. Bron don’t do that.

LA had a chance to keep quality players (Dennis) but instead wasted money on trash (Gabe)....However, the bigger question is..."Do the Lakers have to pay a trade tax due to Pelinka being the GM?"........Lets be honest about something.....Before Lebron signed with LA the Lakers had a hard to getting star players to sign with them. Which forced them to overpay for players like Deng and Mozgov....Even if the Lakers had cap space, could Pelinka sign a quality FA?

Pelinka was the GM when Bron signed, he was the GM who traded for AD, he acquired the players for the 2020 team in one summer.
