When I found out a few hours ago, I was legitimately
at the headline. I wanted to believe it was a joke, but it was Variety that reported it, so I knew it wasn't.
What makes this crazier is that we're approaching the one-year anniversary of his book coming out, literally a few days away. If they ever make a biopic on him (and they probably will), everything they need is in that book. He should have died five years ago when he was in the hospital in a coma. Doctors only gave him a 2% chance of surviving in the state that he was in, but somehow, he beat the odds. Turns out he was just given some extra time to live so he could tie up some loose ends.
The fact that the Friends reunion came out two years ago and the book came out last year is a strange coincidence, almost like he was given the opportunity to tell his story one more time before he passed on. If it turns out drugs had nothing to do with the way he went out, then........I don't know. It's just crazy that after everything he went through, this is how it ends for him. Rest in power.
