The movie is definitely a classic, and a must watch for athletes from football to table tennis.
The TV show highlights the culture, politics, and overall drama of Texas religion- I mean Texas High School Football.
All in all the TV show is better in my opinion.

i love the movie.. me and my roommate used to keep it on repeat in the background. the friday night lights/mean girls rotation

but i ended up liking the show better. it's just such good television


the movie is still my favorite football movie though
