It's not just a website though.

Hosting 3 hour videos is expensive as hell especially when it has to be elastic enough to serve millions of users.

Then it gets even more complicated when you have to serve live video feeds.

And we're not even at the money making part yet.

You wanna serve advertising during your show? Well you'll need some ad tech integrated into your system and a sales team to go around finding clients (and even then you'll have to bend over to other corporations to keep it respectable)

You want a superchat like feature too? Yeah messaging platforms can get super ugly at scale too.

Wanna tie in payment services to the superchat that runs simultaneously as your life feed? Good luck.

This ain't geocities
That's not true breh. All they would need to do is 1. Get a domain name, 2. Pay a cheap monthly amount for a Website builder, 3. Get an Email Marketing app that is used to save your fan's contacts and able to marketing directly to them, 4. Get an app that excepts payments/donations.

Matter fact I can build them one for $299 and a quarter ounce of reggie.

Seriously though, as to the bolded Fresh and Fit got 350 million views on youtube in under 3 years. To have a website that handles does that many views would require an entire development team.

I'm not talking about any of that lol. You and @bdizzle are arguing in circles for daps. Thanks for the paragraph though

The point was you can use Youtube or any other Social Media website, but always have your own personal Website where you can have a secondary income stream, and a central site where you can grow your email/contact list in case anything happens to your Youtube/Social media platform. Also the website can be used to backup and archive recorded video content or Podcast/audio content for your followers to view. On top of that, it can be used to sell Merchandise online. shyt is common sense

You're still underselling the amount of work it takes for them to have a "cheap" website that will be used to host their content.

They have 1.5 million subscribers and 1,300 uploads on YouTube.

Sending emails to 1.5 million users takes a good amount of computing power and storing/serving 1000+ videos is tough too. That's a real system right there that will run you some $$$.

One does not simply send 1.5 million emails and host 1300 videos

To put things into perspective GoDaddy will only let you send 1,500 emails per day and they cap your storage capacity at 50 GB (25 1 hour videos).

Wow thanks for being pedantic. Creating and hosting a static website that just displays a restaurant menu or plumbing services is not the same thing as hosting a media site to livestream video content.

Then you are fundamentally not understanding the point everyone is trying to make here. Fresh&Fit do not have fans. Fresh&Fit livestream show where ppl can donate money to disrespect women does have fans. Nobody is going to F&F.com and copping F&F T-shirts. They made their money in one way. Livestream superchat. Go look at their non-live stream videos on their channel. They barely do 100k after months for 1.5 million subs that’s terrible. They did an interview with Blackson 2 weeks ago still ain’t crack 40k views. So what you think this going do on their own self-hosted site outside the YouTube ecosystem

Sure lol. You're not realizing there are hundreds of Website Builders that have "No code" services with Integrations with Shopify, Stripe, Social Media, Apple, Amazon, etc etc. Theres email marketing apps that allow you to send 1 email to thousands of people (more than 1500 lol)

As a Youtuber, you are a fool if 95% of how you make your money is talking in front of a camera 24/7 hoping for superchats. Fresh and Fit could have easily create a Merchandise store, sell consulting services based on their brand of content, Make and sell courses, public speaking, sell memberships, sell Mastermind meetups, etc etc

You're not wrong, the issue is some keep framing such discussions as YouTube is not needed and anyone can just create a website that has the infrastructure, reach and wealth generation of YouTube

Check the top most viewed sites globally. YouTube is #2, but the average user spends 20 min per visit. No other site captures that kind of attention

Could you explain this? How would that help when they still don't have Youtube and other social media to broadcast?

when you broadcast on your own platform, you can say what you want. If your followers actually like you, they will follow you. Using youtube or any platform mean they are beholden to sponsors and you are an employee of google. That means they won’t let you say what you want.

People that complain about free speech while using a google platform are retarded.

Open a website, host your stream on your website. Pay for servers to save an archive.

Say what you want without being banned

Youd do that if the message and the mission was so important to you that youd be willing to LOSE MONEY to speak your truth but if your main motivation is money then Youtube is the way to go

You're completely wrong about their numbers, the non-live videos are reposts. Look on their rumble and you can see how popular they are, even without female guests

That same blackson interview has 272k views on rumble

Lol, I never heard of Tate before his arrest blew up here on thecoli. I was and am still very confused that he and others like him gain fame and wealth. They are clowns with the gift of gab. If that's all you need to take people's money then I'm fukking up.
Breh. That’s ALWAYS been all you need to make major money.

Can't they supplement with a F&F Cash App or some shyt lol

I get that Superheat is built in thus it's seamless but I would assume as long as your Channel can put out videos then the means of getting money should still be open
Apparently they made $1.5 million in super chats over the course of their YouTube run. They aren’t making that up without YouTube.
