French Montana says beef is bad for business when it comes to 50 Cent, comments on the past beef between Lil Wayne and Pusha T.
G-Unit head honcho 50 Cent is no stranger to beef, from a good natured album sales battle with Kanye West to his past, turbulent riffs with former G-Unit members including Game and Young Buck, beef has always seemed to makes it way to the Queens rapper.
While 50 Cent may not be too concerned with his past issues with artists, fellow New York City spitter French Montana recently spoke on Fiftys rap beef being bad for business and the reason why he believes Rick Ross has become more successful than the rapper.
I feel like beef hurt him. I feel like it helped Ross unite people, Montana explained during an interview with Complex.com. Thats why Maybach Music is one of the biggest labels. It just makes sense
Of course, Ross is on his fifth album. And like I said, hes only getting bigger. This is going to be Ross first platinum album. He never went platinum. So when 50 came up, 50 sold 10 million. Then after his first album he just kept on going down. You think 50 could come out and sell 10 million now?
The Stay Schemin rapper took somewhat of a contrary view when speaking on the past beef between G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T and Young Moneys Lil Wayne, stating that the issue between those two artists was good for Hip Hop.
For some people its competition for them. Its good for hip-hop
Yeah. Pusha T and Lil Wayne's [beef] aint nothing serious, said the rapper. If Wayne feels like [its real beef] then you know Baby would have got involved. Things like that, its good for hip-hop. If nobody got shot, it aint beef.
Although an exact date has yet to be revealed, French Montana still plans on releasing his debut album Excuse My French before the year is up.
