last night I was listening to the album in my head at work and it hit me it's all about his transition from Gary to LA and his struggles with starting over with no connects or familiarity to getting back on his feet to flat out flying.

Ok after sitting with it for a while I found my stride with it, really dope. I fukking hate packages though. Don't like the last track either.

The rest of the shyt is cohesive but unique enough to stand alone...MCDuck is fukkin Ill, basketball wives, careless, fukkin up the count, lately :banderas:

That handfull of joints is worth a cop alone. Seemed like some of yall had to kinda warm up to the singing a bit but I got it right away. I avoided basketball wives off first listen til last night I even like that.
fukk eminem for not giving gibbs a chance :demonic:

I listened to the album a handful of times before I gave my opinion.
Def grew on me the more I listened.
At first I was ehhh then I caught myself randomly signing some of the hooks :wow:

Freddie Gordy my favorite track right now, just one song I wasn't feeling at all & that was Basketball Wives but I give it a 7.5/10.

I like how Narcos, Careless, fukkin' Up The Count & Extradite all flowed one after the other.

Gibbs is talented :banksalute:

what did he say? :ohhh:. post that link

Gibbs met with Interscope years ago when they were thinking of signing him to a development deal. It didn't go well, Gibbs thought he was being disrespected and basically told them to get fukked, imma do this shyt on my own etc etc.

I don't think Gibbs was wrong in terms of turning them down - basically he would have just been writing music for Dre that never came out, and making songs that would never be released. But he handled it very badly.

From what I understand it was basically like a development deal. They wanted to sign him to a legit one later/move him to Aftermath and that's when the fireworks started.
