This is cool. Great production, it really sets a consistent mood sound wise. I think the album loses steam in the second half, especially Basketball Wives lol. But overall I fukk with this.

ESGN had too many features and was too long. I put it near the bottom of his catalouge tbh. :yeshrug:
while i mostly agree. i think it was better than this breh. lyrically it was better. and it was harder than this. the stronger songs were better than any of the standouts here.
ive only given it a couple listens and while this isnt bad at all, its certainly one of his weaker projects. ive never heard him outshinned on a track like the one w/ black thought. and maybe its the 808mafia production but i hear some future-like flows and influence on a couple songs here. i dont even think 'basketball wives' is bad, he's done singsongy songs before and content is typical gibbs. i dont know anything about mixing, mastering or autotune but something feels off about the track.

Actually i read an article tha other day that said he still feels tha same way after tha ghostwritin

I'm gonna need a link. If he really said that he's clearly the best crack head rapper since DMX.

A Freddie Gibbs album was my most anticipated projects of the year.

I've been waiting for a proper followup to ESGN and when Shadow of a Doubt was announced this project, I was excited as a mufukka :gladbron::gladbron::gladbron:

So after 3 spins with the headphones and 2 spins in the whip......

The album's light.

Its not bad. But not that great either.
I just expected so much more from Gibbs.

after Pinata, BFK, and the Pronto EP

This is just a little disappointing
