This album is terrific on first listen. Exactly what I expected. Madlib really did his thing on these beats and Gibbs went in. Uno is probably my fav track so far.

Incredible album...just incredible. It's Gangsta Rap done right.
For Me Gibbs sounds at home with the smoother sound (ala 50). Crazy the similarities between the two when it comes to that.

It's like those type of beats really are melodic and crisp, but give them enough room to float on top of the sound. I remember when 50 dropped that Emotional joint...that was like the first Pete Rock joint that people had heard in years maybe? I always thought that 50 was really good at picking beats that complimented his style...especially on his mixtape work.
