The game changed. Stones Throw used to send out Advance copies of their shyt that would leak weeks in advance. Seems like no one does those anymore.

Percee P, Jaylib, Madvillain, Donuts, Quasimoto, Strong Arm Steady all leaked way before their release. Indie labels tightened up tho, and now only leak maybe 1-2 days before release, if that

Gibbs signed to CTE and went nowhere. No traction on a major label release, largely due to him being blackballed, and he blamed Jeezy. I'm not saying Jeezy is a great guy to sign to - YG is only getting an album release because his sound is hot right now. But Gibbs wasn't making the music label folks want to hear/release, plus he has burned so many industry bridges.
