I think alot of NFL players would dominate playing intl rugby but on the flipside i dont think many in rugby could dominate or even play in the NFL....I hear this shyt all the time at work from rugby people who are overly sensitive about there sport lol...

Most rugby players in the scrums are just size, weightlifter bodies very lil athleticism and the lineouts are too small too slow and not agile enough to play in the NFL where they'd get banged on by much bigger/stronger guys...

Breh I been watching rugby for 20 years I know my shyt. Lomu was a beast but he wouldn't do much in the nfl just because it's a complete different sport, just like ray Lewis or moss wouldn't do shyt in rugby!

Lomu was a phenom tho, best winger to grace the field. Unstoppable even if he didnt win a world cup!

I agree with you bruh.... ain't really trying to argue. I was just saying that in my opinion, I think he has NFL speed. He ran like a 10.7-10.8 in the 100m. That's plenty.

False.

I thought this before I switched over. I've been in NFL training camp and I played a couple years of pro football. The sports are really apples and oranges. Football is straight strength and explosiveness. Rugby is more fitness and skill. Most football players struggle with the high volume of running in rugby (as I admittedly do); there's been a big push in the US to convert college/pro football players into rugby guys, but its been unsuccessful once football players realize what they're in store for. Hell, my squad originally had 6 football players and only 2 of us are left.

Rugby players are not small, but they tend to be leaner than football players because of the excessive fitness demands. I'm always on both sides of the rugby vs. football debate. I argue with rugby guys that try to shyt on football, and I argue with football guys that try to shyt on rugby. People gotta stop comparing the two sports. But don't assume that the NFL is the epitome of human athleticism. There are plenty of rugby cats that could play in the NFL and make a living, especially on defense.
