I just don't get it. Bird supposedly wants a faster, high octane offense but I would think it would make more sense to bring in players who fit that style of play than to fire a coach cause he couldn't make lemonade with apples. I mean seriously, he got mad cause Vogel abandoned the small ball lineup when CJ Miles was BBQ chicken against any decent frontcourt. But I'm an outsider looking in so maybe I've got it wrong but that's what it seems.

Everybody's trying to be Golden State but they're forgetting that they don't have the roster

Also find it highly coincidental that McHale pulls out of the Kings coaching search like an hour before Bird announces they're letting Vogel go

That's ridiculous. Vogel is a solid ass coach. I've always hated how execs fukk up a team worried about putting out a more fan friendly uptempo style when they don't have the personnel to play the style. Now they're going to bring in a lesser coach and try to run a faster style offense while losing more.
