With what fakkit?

So you are saying that they make the same type of music or what?

I went as far as to say please and this bytchmade nikka wants to get aggie. :lolbron: You know nothing about R&B. Any dude who can't help himself but to make comparisons between singers and rappers instead of analyzing a singer for their own merits, knows nothing about R&B. You also need to stop with your shtick of acting like your unbiased and a fan of any and every act that's somewhat popular in today's music world. You're a Jay-Z stan, and sick of being called a Jay-Z stan, so you act like you listen to and are knowledgeable about a wide range of artists. That leads you to say a bunch of bullshyt that goes ignored for the most part.

You just compared The fukking Weeknd with Biggie, dumbass. And yes, I got the flimsy point you were trying to make, but Biggie can't be labeled a lifestyle rapper. Ross or Curren$y would be a more apt comparison if you insisted on comparing Weeknd to a rapper. They both craft music specifically and singularly around a certain lifestyle just like Weeknd, and I'm not saying that's bad in either case. Biggie had a hood/crime based theme as well as a mafioso, extravagant theme he would portray. Frank uses a somewhat similar abstract lyrical style to 3 Stacks but, being an R&B singer and all, doesn't touch on as many varied themes as Dre. You really thought "like you really feel what the fukk he's talking about" was some dope analysis on your part? :leostare: "Swag" is what separates the two? Nothing you said gives me the faintest hint that you've actually listened to either of those nikkas. What is so hip hop about Weeknd's production? The Weeknd's production is downcast, downtempo and damn near ambient. There's nothing "blazing" about it. And that's the beauty of it. Frank has no overall sound to his music either. Pyramids is unlike any of his other tracks. Pink Matter, the same. Dude has a song over Hotel California :stopitslime:.

I just typed all of that without even getting into their differing vocal qualities. This is why R&B shouldn't be brought up in The Booth. Sorry for the paragraphs, but you decided to get froggy with that reply, so :manny:

What the fukk are you talking about now?
I'm not writing a review for TIME Magazine, it was the simplest form of analysis I could pull of and since this is a hiphop forum I used rappers for my analogy and the closest parallels between rappers skill-set I could pull. And yes I thought about Currensy first, but it would sound dumber to compare Frank Ocean to Andre 3000 and Weeknd to Currensy. Obviously I would have another cocksucker (probably got hurt in some Jay-z thread) talking about me disrespecting Weeknd and overrating Frank Ocean. I don't know what's wrong with saying "you really feel what he's saying", I thought we were here talking shyt about hiphop and not trying to impress David Remnick. To expand on that line, I would need at least a paragraph. If you look at the OP, and the posts that came before me you would understand that a long ass analysis between Weeknd would be the definition of trolling and it would be stupid as fukk to write a serious analysis when no one was discussing their differences.

And no shyt, Big is probably my all-time favorite rapper. Obviously he's more than lifestyle, but if I was to point out the field in rap music that he had the biggest influence in it would be just that lifestyle. Like labeling Pac a socially conscious rapper.
And how can you be so naive to think that I only like Jay-z and just pretend to like other music? (I've not fukked with a Jay solo album since 07, so basically you think that I was doing nothing but listening to Jay-z 24/7 for 5 years straight). If there is music I don't like, I won't comment on it unless it's from my favorite artists, I just don't see any point in it. Unless I was writing professional reviews. And what I mean with more hiphop, is that it's often very bass driven, the snare resembles, a lot of hiphop like claps take a song like Loft Music. Which is a Beach House instrumental, that song has a indie rock/pop beat where they added bass, computerized hiphop snare and a chopped up sample. But if you read my post you would notice that I said "a bit more". I didn't say he had hiphop production. And what the fukk do you mean by him not having blazing production? Blazing = hot.

So now butt-hurt Nas stans and Jay-z haters are hating on me cause I don't hate artists and like other artists than Jay-z? This might be the dumbest shyt I've heard on this forum, being that you're serious. The reason to why I don't write about other artists as much as I do about Jay is cause you have to choose your battles, I know everything there is to know about Jays professional career so there is no chance that I will be talking outta my ass when it comes to him. While the chance of his haters doing so is incredibly high, so now during summers and shyt when I have time. It's fun to son you suckers from time to time.
