i went the last two years. First weekend is sold out but it’s on stub hub. Tickets are $500 for fri, sat & sun. Hotels/Airbnb are $700+ a night. You can camp onsite if you’re about that life. Airbnb rooms are more reasonable...I rented a room in a mansion for $200/night last year.
A lot of people stay in Palm Springs or other areas outside Coachella and take the festival shuttles to the festival. There’s a pass you can get that’ll take you to/from the festival on buses. There can be crazy lines at peak times though. Sometimes driving is easiest and cheapest...parking is free.
there are mad day parties and after parties in and around Coachella valley...all free, sponsored by big brands, open bars, celebs etc. Neon Carnival, Revolve, Bootsy Bellows, You Had to Be There, the Do Over...there’s a ton more. You gotta be on the lookout for RSVPs and guestlists in February or so
