The National Rally party gained 31.5% of support in France according to exit polls on Sunday, becoming the first French party to receive more than 30% of votes in European elections since 1984.

The far-right National Rally (RN) party secured 31,5% of votes in the European elections on Sunday, leaving behind President Emmanuel Macron's Renaissance, according to first exit polls.
Macron's Renaissance party, led by Valerie Hayer, received 15.2% of the votes -- not even half of National Rally's support -- a decline from the 22% it received in the 2019 elections. National Rally, on the other hand, saw an eight-point increase in support from the 23% it received five years ago.

Amid the defeat, President Macron announced he would dissolve the national assembly.

"I can't pretend that nothing has happened," he said during a televised speech.
Macron also warned that "the rise of the nationalists and demagogues is a threat not only to our nation but also to our Europe and to France's place in Europe and in the world".

The leader of the National Rally party, 28-year-old Jordan Bardella, welcomed the results "with very high spirit responsibility," "humility," and "gravity".
During a victory speech in Paris, he said the outcome was a "clear message addressed to Emmanuel Macron and European leaders and marks our country's determination to see the European Union change direction."
The president of the RN, Marine Le Pen, said that the French people have given "a very clear message" to Macron. "They no longer want a technocratic, above-ground European construction and increasingly brutal which denies its history, flouts its fundamental prerogatives and which results in a loss of influence, identity and freedom."

The National Rally party managed to attract the electorate by "organising a national-looking campaign rather than a European one," Francesco Sismondini, election polls Analyst, told Euronews. The party's main interest was to "pave their way" for the 2027 national elections, and "they made it," he added.
In third place, the left-wing Place Publique, led by Raphaël Glucksmann, received 14% of votes. Shortly after the results were released, he said during a press conference that he "does not have the soul to celebrate" as Europe witnesses a "wave which is profoundly shaking our democracies."
“Faced with the return of war in Europe and the rise of the extreme right, we will stand up,” Glucksmann said.
La France Insoumise received 8.7% of votes, followed by The Republicans with 7,2% and Reconquête with 5.5%. The Greens received 5.2%.
Head of The Greens, Marie Touissant, said the defeat is "dry" and "bitter" and opens doors to "all the risks’’ like a fascist and racist dictatorship in France and in other European countries.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced the dissolution of the National Assembly, France's parliament, after polls closed during the European Parliament elections.
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced he will dissolve parliament and call new legislative elections after exit polls showed his alliance suffered a heavy defeat in European elections to Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally (RN) party.
Macron said the European Parliament results on Sunday were grim for his government, and ones he could not pretend to ignore. In an address to the nation, he said lower house elections would be called for June 30, with a second-round vote on July 7.
“This is an essential time for clarification,” Macron said. “I have heard your message, your concerns and I will not leave them unanswered … France needs a clear majority to act in serenity and harmony.”

Business as usual.

The rising and resurgent Far right in Germany won 16 seats in European Parliament at Brussels( they won 7 more seats than the previous election)

Unlike his French counterpart, the German far right party finished second behind an alliance of the liberal right wing and traditional Christian conservatives

The far right attracts a lot of incompetents and weirdos; they are practically always poor statesmen. At least in the west their arrival always initiates a decline in their respective country, we’ve already seen this with Trump and Boris Johnson. The more Western nations buy into the nationalist/isolationist slop, ironically the more they will fall into irrelevancy and economic trouble. Globalism and the EU is propping up these rather small countries with aging populations. The exposal is going to be fierce :mjlit:

True. Far right parties have no experience when it comes to actually governing and managing countries. They’re usually dissident/opposition groups who are only good at criticizing the moves of the government, they were never elected into power, they never won actual elections and they never won the actual support of the people(with the popular vote)

The far right vote is fueled by frustration, hopelessness and racism/xenophobia. People don’t care about their views on economy, environment, education system, health, etc they vote for these parties mostly because they viscerally hate the sight of non white people in their countries. And they feel that there are no other legitimate/credible alternatives in mainstream traditional politics. So they desperately vote far right in a last ditch/Hail Mary attempt. In their minds, it’s like « we tried everything and it didn’t work out, so we should give a chance to the far right. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain at this point »

Half of these people don’t care about economic stability and security, they rather live poor in a shythole and violent all white country than rich in a stable and multicultural country, they just want to get their countries back again :mjpls: you know

But if the far right expels all non white immigrants/foreigners, I wonder who will they blame next? They will eat and kill each other without Indians/Jews/Blacks/Arabs/Asians to blame.

Far right voters are racists, frustrated people, Emotional people, radicalized Twitter users, low qi manipulated by fake news and racist propaganda.

I think Islam is a big reason for this.
Massive Black African immigration/presence there is also a reason for this. It’s not just the presence of Islam that causes people to vote for far right parties. They are against any non-European presence in their country period.
