So beats only get spit on the year they came out?! Plus the Lyricist Lounge was an underground venue, it's not outta the realm for an MC to spit on a year old beat or older. But you got it...She was born in 78. The beat she's rhyming over is Grand Puba's "360". That was released the summer of 92 that would have made her 13 at the time going on 14. We first saw her nationally in 1995, 3 years after that Puba beat was hot in the mainstream and she was 16 going on 17 then. I don't think she would have been spitting over that beat on stage at 15, which would have been a year or 2 later in 1993 and 1994
hahaha, no man. But more often than not, back then artists tried to spit on the more popular hot joints. And a year old beat would be 1993 and when then, she was 15 going on 16. We know it had to be before 1995. Late1995 is when we first saw her on LL's I shot ya. She was 17 then. As Get These Nets stated, just look at her name. In the early 90s, A lot of people were on that kinte cloth wearing, pro black tip. There was a female rapper named Nefertiti. She was the chick that starred in the Panther film in 1995. So it's possible it was 1992 or 1993. shyt I don't know, I'm just going off the name, beat, and time frame from when we first saw her. But hopefully we can all agree it was pre-1995.So beats only get spit on the year they came out?! Yes, she’s actually the goat female rapper.
