That will be interesting. (1) she probably told them that’s a lie and that she never insinuated that and (2) their own internal investigation probably already corroborated that they had a consensual relationship. It could be that they’re keeping her or they could’ve already negotiated her separation and it could involve staying on through the duration of litigation. Any separation from the company would likely involve her signing a separation agreement where she agrees not to sue for anything that occurred during the employment relationship and that she will not speak negatively about them (non disparagement). It would include some sort of additional payment - or, if they find that they have cause to fire her - the separation would include something like the pay out of the remainder of the contract that she would’ve otherwise been owed. But the benefit you receive from a settlement can’t be something you were already owed.

Realistically, Joy and the exec will probably both be gone in some capacity. Keeping a guy accused of sleeping with women he exercised power over and who is also accused of harassing others is just not the type of liability you want going forward.
