why are nikkas acting like this means we are getting reperations. I'm happy someone who supports ados and reperations is in that position, but I'm still cynical.

If we never said "both sides" they wouldn't even have considered her. We've been voting Democrat since FDR and took it to the next level after Johnson so miss me with that "we just dont get it" bullshyt.

Nothing has happened yet and you already have folks cheering and saying "I told you so!!!"

Folks are way too easy to placate :russ:

Nothing to say except to watch and wait, they could stuff her in a room for four years and trout her out every so often to say "We are working on it."

Don't see any prominent African American scholars yet though, just a lot of folks who don't look like me :mjpls:

How is anything that she said in these clips equivalent to "both sides" or make her seem like someone Republicans would like?

:what:

In the first clip she acknowledged the true debt of Reparations can't be paid or measured but at the least the Racial Wealth Gap must be closed.

In the clip from Karen Hunter she says what Tone, Breaking Brown and many others have said for years. That Black folks have been MADE a contagion to wealth. She debunked the BS theories about why the wealth gap exists (Blacks spend poorly, lack of savings, lack of community savings etc) and that you need access to the Fed Reserve and the benefits of GOVERNMENT to help you get wealth and then grow that wealth.

Yes you have to Devalue "whiteness".
She was just nominated by one side, and wouldn't have by the other. Hence why the "both sides" crew make no sense.

Nah because Collins is more of a pretender but will usually vote with Trump if she has to. Manchin will literally go on a news network and say "I don't support packing the court" for no reason.

He gotta get out the paint.

She also strays away from her own party as she chooses case in point with the SC nomination with Barrett. I actually thought that along with the Kavanaugh situation would have done her in, but somehow she managed to keep her seat.

She's "too democratic" for her own party, but the other side thinks that she's "too Republican" and she's the wildcard in politics because of it and likely even more now with the majority likely lower than last time. The Democrats could potentially use her to their advantage if they really wanted to or she might be too scared to cross party lines again after lucking out into keeping her seat.

I know many will hate what I'm about to say, but it has to be said. I want reparations for ADOS, but this is not passing the sniff test for me.

I lean towards the belief that Mehrsa Baradaran is authentic, but I do not trust Biden or Kamala, who both vehemently denied reparations & added other minorities to the reparations claim, during their election run. Comparatively, if this was a Marianne Williamson administration, I would have much more hope for (reparations) progress.

Furthermore, this may be nothing more than a dangling carrot for the GA runoff. It's only been recently that presidential candidates even entertained the question of reparations, so is it really realistic that restorative action would begin literally overnight?

My Theory. Despite MSM claims, Biden is actually not the president and a decision either way will not be confirmed until mid Dec. Claims of fraud are being sent to court right now and its very possible that Trump will remain in office. Because this option is real, Biden/Harris are throwing any and everything at the wall to gain support and trigger an uprising if fraud is found and the election is "overturned." Which is why Biden is on video saying that "I don't need you to vote me in office, I need you after." If my theory is correct, they will expect ADOS to become thier foot soldiers in a civil war on US soil. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. I may be 1000% wrong, but we all need to sit back and wait to see what actually happens.

I'm not disagreeing with that my point is that Susan Collins will not vote against the GOP platform IF her vote is the lone deciding factor. Usually she is grouped with a couple other moderates or if she is the lone vote it's because the GOP already has the votes.

Manchin will try to sabotage the whole damn Dem platform if he thinks West Virginia won't like it. He ain't on code.

This is what I been trying to tell people about this Biden/Harris regime. Biden has a chance to do some great things through Executive Orders and he SHOULD and he needs to be held accountable for that..

However, if they don't have the Senate there are things that will not be able to get done and you cannot blame Biden if that occurs it doesn't make sense to... The GOP are an enemy to the people, period.

don't let the hate for trump fool you. the majority of the state is still white people who now have no incentive to vote against their typical party (as you may know, a lot of people voted for biden but still voted for republican down ballot). i don't see why they would use this as a tactic for that issue

I'll be the first in line to vote for his re-election if he and his administration actually pull this off in one form or another.
