i guess this is kinda off topic but rock never denied his black side ... just cuz wwe plays on his samoan heritage doesn't mean he have some sort of self hate issue

i basically started watching around the time rock was poppin (round 97) and i always knew he was half black

plus he went in on a pretty well known radio host one time for making an inappropriate comment about Mark Henry and his race, Rock checked him immediately and had him backtracking and apologizing.

Daniel Bryan actually drew. Punk didnt. See how easy that is? He was becoming the ratings king on the show weekly and houseshow has suffered considerably since he went down.

Im not saying bryan wasnt a draw but ratings werent significantly better with bryan around and punk not around..plus the product in general was shyttier during punk's reign. People power era and side storylines were generally more wack. Its hard to directly credit or discredit one or the other imo thats why i was alluding to it being unfair to blame punk and credit bryan outright since they both got over, both moved merch and both put on good matches

But they made the main event of wrestlemania 27 a joke to promote the match next year. That entirely kneecapped the miz, even if he's awful. Every wrestler deserves better than to be sabotaged by management.

I think punk hates that he wants to be a big draw but wwe won't let you become a draw bigger than cena. It's mindboggling how much writers they have and yet they barely put any effort into story lines and continuity . Punk suggested good ideas to both increase buy rates and make stars and vince was like sooooo does this end with cena going over or naw ?

Your right about that plus it seems like maybe he isn't that close to his father side of the family .

yeah it seems like it, based on what we know of his story he is very close to his mother.

but he still always talks about his father and who he is and what he's done in the biz and all that ... while he may just be doing that out of respect or whatever, i see it as him acknowledging his heritage on a consistent basis

i do admit im biased regarding this tho, cuz rock was my favorite as a kid, and since there weren't many mixed wrestlers in the first place much less a top tier star like him, i instantly gravitated and related i guess

i have similar discussions with some homies regarding him playing racially ambiguous roles and being phenotypically vague, but i always saw it as him playing the cards he's been dealt, its not like he could have chosen to look differently. him being mixed does come with certain privileges tho, especially in hollywood.

but unless he's out here straight up denying/shunning half his ancestry or pull a sammy sosa make over i dont think it should be an issue like that
