It's crazy how inept WWE is. CM Punk would have been wrestling today if they just reached out to him and handled everything with grace and understanding. Instead, they fired him on his wedding day. I can understand being frustrated with him for walking out but Vince should know more than anyone that wrestlers get burnt out. He should have given him his time off then called Punk to work things out when he felt like he's given him the appropriate time off.

Wow Talent Relations sounds like a fukking mess, hiring guys to oversee talent that don't even have a background or mind for the wrestling business?:dwillhuh:

And why did Colt ask fans to email him questions for Punk last week if they weren't going to legitimately answer any of them really?? This week's podcast was a waste of time and just seemed like a way to capitalize on last weeks craze, which is a good strategy, but at least present some of the questions from the fans.

He should of known when to cut out as well. Don't forget that part.

Im finding this to be bullshyt, I cant believe that WWE tried to stop EVERY endorsement and marketing of him. Cause he still got so many products, covers and things.
Might be true though

My bad for the running commentary

What non-WWE sanctioned products, covers, and things did he get?

He didn't really specify other than the Wizard World appearance and the Slim Jim deal which I imagine he had to check with WWE anyway

I'm surprised those companies were coming to him and not through WWE

Typically any athlete endorsement deal goes to the athlete or their agent. For example, Nike doesn't go to the Cleveland Cavaliers to sign LeBron James to endorse a product.

Uh oh...he's talking too much about the politics put into place to protect Roman Reigns. I remember Roman pinned Punk 2 or 3x on television in tag matches. It was funny because Bryan would dominate Reigns during their matches.

40 minutes in. This is the polar opposite of last week. No Q&A (I understand many people -like me, to an extent- didn't send relevant questions to what he said last week, but come on, it must have been something in there), and it's just him and Colt talking random things.

Yeah but WWE stars don't have the same structure as athletes, Coke Boy runs it all. Even Rock had to get Vince a producer's credit on his first few movies before he truly broke free in 04.

Exactly. WWE blocked those outside opportunities which is why he didn't get "so many products, covers and things" you mentioned earlier.
