Carter's presidency was Ok, but I think his biggest thing with it was International Affairs.

Obviously going to be remembered for his post-Presidency, and didn't really try to steal the spotlight once he left Office.

I think as well he served in World War 2, and if you consider the last year of it 1945, then in 2025, that will be 80 years since the end; almost anybody still alive that fought will be in their 90s.

It's going to be interesting to know who will be the 'Last Known Soldier' of World War 2; it kind of feels like the last Soul to depart the Earth and reunite with those who were involved. Sort of like the last Survivor of Titanic, where in the Afterlife there is a Titanic, waiting for everyone who was aboard that night to depart to the Afterlife together.

I wish President Carter all of the best! I really wanted him to be the first President to reach the age of 100 but he's lived a long and fulfilled life regardless. Godspeed!

Also, interestingly, the last Democratic president to die was LBJ in January 1973 - 50 years ago.

the black cat is my crown...
i don't know much about carter's presidency, but i do know he was an exemplary humanitarian statesman in his later years... even in his 90s he was still working with habitat for humanity... it's amazing... he definitely lived a long and fulfilling life... it's good to hear he's at peace and his family is at peace....
