We both began to more seriously think about my Blackness when I came to Minnesota, where I am now and where there's more of a white population. The murder of George Floydwas one of the first times I realized, "I really am of a race that is not treated the same."
Stopped reading it when I read this goofy shyt.

Putting aside the bait topic

His parents failed him. He seems underprepared mentally if it took George Floyd to realize black people get treated differently.

I know in the US football players are wrapped in cotton wool early and insulated in a world where they have white people kissing their ass as they are a potential asset worth millions. And you don't upset the asset.

I can see to a growing young mind that makes it seem that yeah whites are decent and the world is kumbayah.

it's not a widespread thing.

just insecurity as a mufukka.

problem is no one cares about Tyrone Green married to Keisha. That draws no attention.

But him married to Amy does.

Vast majority of black athletes are married to sisters. It's not close, but the outliers/exceptions draw all the of the attention and brings out the insecurities.

That being said, this nikka should feel embarrassed that it took George Floyd for his wake up call.

This, not only are 35% of all black men married, compared to 25% of black women

We're married, 80% of the time, to black women

This 100%. Think about LeBron for a second. If he was married to a woman that looks like.....Margot Robbie.....how much attention would she get? Even if she WANTED to be silent/chill, the cameras would make sure to find her EVERY TIME.

Bron married a sista (medium/dark) and she's naturally chill, so she can lay low and be good. Like seriously if she walked into a random mall or grocery store in Dallas or Chicago, most people wouldn't even know who she was.

For the racial stuff........ironically, growing up around all Black folks and being an athlete can be a shield. The athlete part gets you more respect in the hood and people leave you be. The all Black part means cops either aren't in your hood or they're busy dealing actual criminals. Go to a mixed place with money and a nice car, now you're getting pulled over every 5 minutes. Working class breh or student isn't getting accosted riding the bus (in car-dependent cities).

The militant talk you see online doesn't represent real life. Most black people don't value blackness in reality. Thread is gonna be filled with a bunch of "B..b..but why are you watching his dikk:damn:!!! To defelct.
Yep, just start growing your hair out and watch how many people ask you, “when you gonna get that shyt cut?”.
