While in the Navy, I saw a pod of at least 200 pilot whales while in the Pacific. Our ship stopped because there were so many of them and made an announcement for anyone interested in seeing them. The wild part was, they were watching us. Before that I was a fan of swimming in the ocean and had swam in both the Atlantic and Pacific. After that, nope.

Imagine seeing 200 of these looking at you while in the middle of nowhere.

So no cliffs?
A deep sea welder had an experience where he saw a squid like creature. The creature was moving and changing shape/colors which ended up putting him in a trance. He was still in his right mind but couldn’t move. He was scared because the creature paralyzed him without touching him so he was pretty shook because of it. He said that he had a headache for weeks after the encounter.

I don't think pilot whales have ever harmed a human being, breh.

This

Then the video goes off on this history lesson on giant squids, even though the dude in the video didn’t think it was a squid.

I heard somewhere that we have explored space more than our oceans

Time to smoke up and watch The Abyss
I think i read that somewhere too and I think they’re right. Considering all the satellites and shyt and what NASA is doing.

Yet on our own planet we have a hard time with dealing with the darkness and pressures of the ocean. When you think about it too… if something could survive in outer space, what makes people think it couldn’t survive in the ocean as well.

Exactly. If so called “friendly” sea creatures are intimidating when seen in the wild, I don’t want to be in the water with hostile sea life. The story in the OP made me question why anyone would enjoy that career and return to it after an experience like that.
