2 Things as a as 70's baby. Curly was a childhood staple. The Globetrotters went from local highschools including mine to MSG and he wasn't quite in his prime when I saw him but I was blessed to see him live as a youth.

Plus he and all the HGT were professional ball players even if they all weren't in the NBA/ABA.

Loved him as a kid when they would come to the D. R.i.p.
Going to see them as a kid for my birthday in like 89 is still the most entertaining sporting event and best birthday I’ve ever had. I don’t know if it still has the same effect, but what they did was magical to watch then. RIP to a legend:salute:

I think it was Cobo Hall, if not Joe Louis.

I think it was Cobo, but all I know is it was amazing. I believe Twiggy Sanders was the like the clown Prince of the Globetrotters then. I haven’t seen anything about them touring. I would love to take my kids to a show.

I took my nephew like 3 years ago. It wasn't that entertaining becuae it was.no real personalities. This was at the Palace when it was open
