Ta-Nehisi Coates on words that don't belong to everyone | We Were Eight Years In Power Book Tour
Let me start by saying I'm not at all outraged by the clip.
Assuming you're black, would you allow some cac to call your grandmother the n-word just because rappers use it?
Why should the people that don't use it get abused because of others?
I know plenty of church folk that NEVER say it.
Should cacs just go around calling them the n-word because they heard some teenagers use it with each other?
You’re equating the hard r to nikka. If a CAC called me the hard r then obviously they’re racist.
Beadle slipped and said nikka. That word is embedded in everyone’s psyche in this country. You can’t escape it in the sports and entertainment industry. White people and other races call them selves nikka. My issue is that we’ve made it so popular over the past 4 decades that it’s hard to criticize other people for using it. When I was growing up it was only used among ourselves. That’s not the case anymore. We are comfortable saying it to and around white people.
And yes I’m black. I already proved it on this site.
I'm glad Lebron got her ass bushed from ESPNThe bytch was always targeting black men from the white feminist angle so it’s no surprise the word slipped
What if a cac calls you a tether with the hard r?
