No such thing as a routine surgery . You could go in and not come back out . Rivalry aside, sincere RIP to CJ.

This is why they tell you to take aspirin during recovery to thin the bloodYour blood clots up at a injury site to stop it from bleeding but in the case of stuff like this it's when for whatever reason your blood decides to clot up for another reason like slow blood flow causing things to stick together plus other reasons https://www.webmd.com/dvt/blood-clots
Rip the the young gawd...
You can get blood clots randomly, it don’t have to be a surgery involved. Like I said in that Chris bosh thread, I had the same shyt. I’m extremely active, eat healthy, didn’t have surgery or anything. Just had a dull achy pain in my lower leg for a lil while that I attributed to working out and all of a sudden, I can’t even go up a flight of stairs without being completely gassed and on the verge of passing out...Checked myself into the hospital and they told me over half my lungs where blocked then admitted me to whatever the the intensive care unit is called with the heart attacks and shyt. Had me hooked up to all types of machines and everything for a week.
Had a team of blood specialists, cardiologists, etc... running all types of tests around the clock to figure out why it happened and they never found out. They said I would’ve died if I wasn’t in as good of shape as I was and don’t kno how I went as long as I did without blacking out.
I say all of that to say that it can happen to anybody
Damn . Did they give you any tips afterward about how to minimize the likelihood of the clots returning or is there no way to do that ?
And you were in there for a week?!! Insurance must be a1
Glad you good , tho .
Don’t think he’s fear mongering, there is indeed a higher risk of pulmonary embolism with all orthopedic surgeries. Very unfortunate story. Godspeed.there are 300,000 ACL surgeries a year.
dont fear monger.
