Also, bought Child of the Ghetto in 2001 and had the bootleg version, which had some better versions of tracks. Dep never had much content to me. I loved some of his stuff, but he didn't have like the strongest identity as an artist, and also the timing. Dep could have maybe done more damage in 1999 or 1998, that album was pushed back forever.

and Puff's reign was done after The Saga Continues, and Dep spiraled out into oblivion until that murder confession. Also, was a drug addict. Like BR.

I loved tracks like these but this wasn't going to sell or move any units in 2001.

Post 99-2000, rap was way too commercial and not as hard. This is a probably an east coast hood classic in 97.
