Jazz scored just 54 points in one game but they wouldn't have brought J.J. Barea in to exploit Steve Kerr's defense.
Steve Kerr out there playing 20-25 minutes at point for the Bulls (and B.J. Armstrong starting before that) but you don't think Barea could get burn? Steve Kerr HIMSELF said that he wasn't athletic enough to play in today's NBA, Barea would have destroyed him.
You're right, in an era where Mookie Blaylock, B.J. Armstrong, John Stockton, Charlie Ward, Bimbo Coles, Mark Price, Greg Anthony, and Andre Turner all got major playoff minutes against the Bulls, someone like J.J. Barea would have been unplayable.
And Barea was a change-of-pace guy off the bench. While Frank Brickowski, Adam Keefe, and Mark West were starters for teams the Bulls played in the Finals.
