I do agree with this part.

"Recognizing that its black viewers couldn’t resist Skip’s bait, ESPN doubled down, making Smith an equal partner in the show and re-imagining First Take as the black barbershop of sports talk. The rap-music bumpers, the black, eye-candy female host, the guest appearances by rappers and Smith are all an attempt to make Skip’s negro-baiting palatable, marketable and justifiable.

The show has been dumbed down and ghetto-ized."

First Take has been "dumbed down" for awhile now he only says something about it because they have rappers on the show

Who really cares if Stephen A. said nikka other than for censoring reasons. I'm a black man and I say nikka. What I look like getting mad at him for. Cause he said it on TV?

I'm sick of being expected to allow every black person in the public eye to represent me. That nikka don't represent me. He represents himself, his family, and ESPN. That's it. Furthermore, I don't care if he did say it. To me, Stephen accidentally saying nikka is the same as him accidentally saying a curse word. Oops!

I don't have a problem with him saying it around his friends and family.... So why is it some type of social issue now. Can we just let go of this whole N-word agenda? Just let white people keep getting knocked out for saying it and keep it moving.

You typed all of shyt without addressing Stephen A Smith being the main culprit talking bullshyt social issues about black people.

Did you kiss his ass and agree with that c00n when he said black people were to blame for white folks calling Jeremy Lin out his name?

I don't know if "dumbed down" is the right word. Its more agenda driven and the shock value is turned way up X1000 each and every passing year its on the airwaves. Its the same show as when it was 1st and 10 but now you get 50% more eyerolls and excitable screaming rants from SAS and Skip.... then again maybe it is more dumbed down :ld:

-but Whitlock's articles are dumbed down to the highest degree so what the f*ck is he talking about? :stopitslime:

I don't mind the word used amongst us but come on dog you can't be sayin' nicca please on national tv. Even the goofball rappers have more restraint on air than f*ckin' SAS:what:

No, it won't.

They can't have a shouting match and they'll have to act like something happened. It's the weekend and they can sweep this under the rug.

hmmmmm....you might be right, however those guys would use ANYTHING to "create" drama for ratings. So I wouldn't be surprised if they talked about it.

Fall back bruh.... I didn't address it because that's not my concern. Furthermore, my statement wasn't only about Stephen A. It's about black people letting every other famous black person represent them just because they are black. Then spewing rhetoric about the black community's struggles and how their actions misrepresent the black community. MY POINT IS THAT HE DOESN'T REPRESENT ME OR ANY OTHER RANDOM BLACK PERSON. So if he slips up and says nikka on TV, it's funny to me and that's about it. Sucks for him and his career. I just don't think it's that big of a deal, as it relates to me, at least.

Should he have said it?.... Probably not, but why does it have to be tied back to the black community? Let that nikka suffer the consequences of being stupid, and I'm gonna keep living my life to the best of my ability
