Props to him hope he puts his money to good use. And Jay (and Beyonce combined) should be at least close to billionaire as they bought a $88mil house in LA recently. You don’t get to buy those kinda homes if you’re a couple 100 millionaire.

yeah i'm not trusting forbes. the media works for Kris Jenner, this is all marketing and power to him if it works. it clearly worked with Kylie.

let me see his tax returns, then i might believe it.

:unimpressed:

forbes only reports on the people who wanna be reported on when it comes to this stuff, trump was chasing down forbes to get them to say he had money too, pretending he was different people and shyt, tryna gas himself up to forbes

that dont mean they dont got the dough

but being worth a billi dont mean you can hit the ATM and that shyt says you got a billion liquid, it prolly just means all the shyt hes got his hands in, altogether tops a billion

which is still an dope accomplishment for ye, esp with the ups and downs of the last few years

:mindblown: Nobody brings up tax when numbers are concerned.

Net worth isnt about how much cash you have...its about YOUR WORTH.

Some of yall need to crack open some basic ass econ books...learn about money.

When you base that net worth on fraudulent or extremely generous numbers which is what Forbes has done in the past or allow celebrities to give you numbers without true verification then you lose all credibility.

What people have pointed out is the net worth claim of them being billionaires is fraudulent and then you add in the liabilities they would have and they are nowhere near being billionaires.

@Pestilence I feel you.

Forbes does have fine print on how they calculate it.

What do you feel would be a 100% factual value estimation?

I think it'd be along the lines of
1. Actual cash on hand
2. Secure assets

Anything forecasted would be off I feel.

Yeezy brand is fraudulent?
I can see if were talking about some other rappers...but its plain as day w/ Kanye.

What they laid out in this article is how most other people figure out their networth...
...if you dont buy it for Kanye, you shouldnt buy it for anyone else.

At the end of the day...he's rich...
...were arguing over nonsense.

An independent evaluation would be a start, Forbes just isn't credible when it comes to their evaluations of what they think the individuals assets worth is, and any so called receipts from the Kardashian clan should be treated with utter disbelieve.

A lot of the asset evaluations especially when it comes to stocks, businesses or real estate is just nonsense especially right now, with real estate just because they paid 50 million for it doesn't mean that's how much they can sell it for, look at 50cent and the amount of money he lost on real estate.

At the end of the day Kanye has money I just have an issue with Forbes and their yearly bullshyt.

Selling $1.50 shoes for $300. Of course he's a billionaire. Those margins are huge.

Word. Zack from Forbes wrote about Puffy, Dre and Jay. It's a great read. But the whole time I'm hoping it's all accurate. I hope it is.

I didn't hear of 50 losing money in real estate. If so that sucks.

Once again I'm not gonna defend Kanye he's whatever to me
but he was saying he went into debt ... not in terms of net worth... but in terms of putting up his own millions for factories and clothing related fashion shyt
In a roundabout way he got mad during the sway interview because of this... he specifically says he met with the top white european directors of fashion and nobody wanted a black person to step in and own a huge brand
He got mad because sway was edging him towards saying "Its because white people dont want me to" but he kept ducking and dodging around the statement because he's smart.
The debt shyt was overblown because he's just saying his business was netting negative amounts for what he put in... he thought if he added enough, either he would see a result or someone would trust him enough to take him aboard and help out. He never went broke, he just threw money into a pit trying to get into an industry where he wasnt allowed.

The Zuckerberg shyt is just basic investing, Kanye wanted to partner with the dude who owns facebook to implement tech and strategies that could be marketed globally. That's how you do it, you dont put your money up (like he did before) and pray it works out and someone buys you out. He was asking for a direct line to the plug with international reach after the model was implemented. He bought the land in Wyoming to create a hub, similar to Paisley Park for Prince... but to eventually establish his own American operated clothing factories. Barring the shyt he's said and the Trump support, which is just misconstrued LSD talk of Peace and Love ... different viewpoint to free your mind. (which terribly backfired to the public) Him and Wayne deserve way more credit for rebranding themselves into something positive to inspire a new generation. From Wayne getting locked up and the inmates telling him "You really need to stop banging and teaching kids violence and do something for them" which made him try skateboarding and helping kids use their mind towards a communal project. To Ye saying on Ellen, he wants to work with Payless because he was bullied as a kid, Then taking all the gear that you got laughed at for wearing, and making it 300$ and a fashion statement. That's fukking genius... you can never downplay a kid wearing bummy gear now because he made that a talking point for the kid. Just his idea alone without the partnership completely caught on and changed the whole fashion game with the dad shoes and the cruddy hole shirts. We laughed at the price tag for the white tshirts with holes ... but that was the point. It wasnt meant to be overpriced Hollywood shyt, it was meant to change the conversation on what you can make look cool, backed by hipsters who took it to the next level.

Its obvious that after the Hurricane Katrina shyt and beyond, he did something or went through a revelation where he is delivering himself completely abstract instead of directly. I can easily see the meaning behind his statements and actions but he doesnt deliver completely clean to the public. Rewatch the Ellen interview or the Sway one with what I said in mind, its completely clear what he's saying. After that happened he got even more shrouded with his meanings and actions. I dont agree 100% with everything he's said for the past 10 years but his plan that nobody can see is working. He was trying to look above and through the Trump and Repulican shyt to show it didnt really matter, and he proved that by being friends with him easily... and getting trump to pardon people out of jail through that connection. What he did was very similar to Dennis Rodman going to North Korea as a person and not judgmental. Same with the absurd slavery shyt he said, basically he applied that to friending Trump. He is looking past the surface and saying that you can be free and manifest whatever you are focused on. He's obviously an easy target for the media like all superstars so its easy to just take what he says and project it as delusional crazy babble. I'm super big on shytting on people and I'm not for all that fukk shyt, but his plan would have never happened if he just kept calling a spade a spade and "keeping it real". They would have just said he's a dikkhead and faded him out.

On the other hand for an example Akon used his story to come up... made hits, signed Lady Gaga and then basically retired. People give him credit because they ride the story behind him. Now he wants to sign and produce Tekashi for more money to pad his pockets. He got credit for establishing water and electricity in Africa for a city or maybe 2.... but he sold that out, and was a middleman to help China buy that land. He's done good business moves but he's basically sold everyone including africa, out for money. But all he gets is praise and admiration for it. Alot of shyt needs rethinking as to who we are really trusting and propping up on a pedestal.
