Homicide at least made it to national TV and made some decent money for 7-8 years

I thought Dan Maff was going to be big on the indies until dude slept with Homicide's underaged sister and got himself blackballed from every indy promotion during his prime

Is that what happened with him? I always read about him being blackballed because of something with Homicide but never found out what happened.

That's pretty much what happened. And I just went to his wiki and it says the exact same thing

In March 2005, Homicide issued a number of statements accusing Lopez of "betraying" him and announcing that he would not work for any company which hired Lopez in the future.[2] As a result, Lopez was essentially blacklisted from dozens of promotions[citation needed] and thus retired from professional wrestling. The titles, which he held at the time, were vacated although he kept both of the physical belts themselves. JAPW openly acknowledged the situation between Lopez and Homicide. This situation involved Maff sleeping with Homicide's sister who happened to be underaged at the time.[citation needed]

It's crazy how many of those early 00s dudes never amounted to anything: SATs, Quiet Storm, Trent Acid, Ruckus, Jonny Storm, Jody Flesich, etc

Crazy that I recognize all these names from EWR despite not following the indies in the early 00's.

yea homicide had a real good career. i just wanted to namedrop him. i forgot to add the "he made it" disclaimer.

@ dan maff tho. i didnt know that. but it makes sense.

i was just watching dan maff on PWS yesterday wondering why he never got that big break. his storyline right now is him stressing over never winning a top title in any promotion hes ever been in. after reading this, i no longer feel sorry for the guy.

Ok, here's the real story. I wasn't supposed to say anything, but fukk it. A few weeks before the show he got "hurt" on, Dragon had to deal with some serious family issues. He started to get depressed over those issues and then turned to cocaine to help him get through these problems. A week later he got hooked badly. He ended up getting fired from his job at a very huge car dealership(Yeah, Super Dragon sold cars for a living) after not showing up after a few weeks. Before that he was having some problems with his bosses because of his bad attitude toward customers who only wanted to test drive cars in order to get free tickets to a NASCAR event. Anyways, after he got fired and started the family issues came up, the PWG owners knew something was wrong. Two of them(forgot who) went to Dragon's apartment and found him getting jumped by some dealers and saved him. They took him to one of their homes so Dragon could recover. During this, Dragon stole their computer and sold it and bought more coke and almost OD'd. They decided that it was time for him to go to rehab.

The entire angle came together with Joey Ryan, Scott Lost, Chris Bosh, and Scorpio Sky to "take him out" by beating him up. At the same time it was a way to try and bring him back down to reality before they sent him to rehab. He's now in a rehab facility in Sylmar, California and he'll come back to wrestling if he can stay sober for 60 days.

-Richards fukked up his knee again. Joey and Sky interfered costing the match for SD/Davey. After the match All 4 fukked up SD and Davey. Joey gave SD a Mostache ride onto some tables. Apparently Dragon got fukked up and an ambulance was called. I was told some fan spat at SKy and a scuffle happened. Sky told the dude to meet him outside for some shyt. The four are now known as the Dynasty

later in the thread it says he got ddt'ed on his head. He hasnt worked a PWG show since as far as i know.

If its story line its being done pretty good,as he didnt work the june czw show and hasnt been involved to much in the roh story line lately. So it makes me wonder if its legit.

XPW crew caused trouble in the crowd at ECW HeatWave 2000, got dragged out of the building and beat up Rob Black must in top five sleazeball/carny in wrestling history which is saying something. Messiah banged Rob's girl and then got burgled by two dudes who cut off his thumb, what a coincidence
